About us

The focus of the Center for Electrochemical Systems and Hydrogen Research (CESHR) is to address fundamental scientific issues related to renewable energy resources and sustainable chemical manufacturing. The current research of the CESHR is highly associated with hydrogen economy, including electro-catalysis and photoelectrocatalysis for hydrogen generation, hydrogen separation and storage, as well as hydrogen fuel cells. Intensive research efforts were made to modernize the Center and ensure that it remains relevant to renewable-energy and green-electrochemical needs of the country. Currently, the center is a collaborative effort among the approximately 11 faculty members from the Departments of Chemistry, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Chemical Engineering, and Department of Materials Engineering at Texas A&M University.
